If you have any kids that want to learn how to fish, the bluegill are biting right now, and they're the perfect fish to try and catch when showing them the ropes. Prices start at 35, and each ticket includes a floating lantern kit, an entry. It kicks off at 2 pm and lasts for 5 hours. The Water Lantern Festival is held in Kit Carson Park.
It will be the last catfish stock of the season, and Lakes 2 through 7 will be stocked with a total of 3,500 lbs. During the festival, you’ll be able to enjoy the lights show, savor delicious dishes from local food vendors, and watch art come to life at live painting sessions. The best baits to be using are stinkbait, shrimp, mackerel, cut-up hot dogs, and night crawlers! Our next big catfish event coming up is Stockzilla. Our following stock will be on September 15th. Top water has seen a lot of success in the evening also! We stocked Lakes 2 and 3 last week with 500 lbs. The best bait to use right now for bass are spinners, crankbaits, and swimbaits.
